Sanitary Surveys

What is a sanitary survey?

A sanitary survey is defined as "an onsite review of the water source, and the facilities, equipment, operation, and maintenance of a public water system." (18 AAC 80)

Geotechnical Services of Alaska has DEC approved sanitary survey inspectors on staff.  We can save you money on your next inspection, no matter how remote your water system location.  We operate both float and wheel equipped aircraft, and also river boats with jet outboard motors.  No need to pay an expensive air taxi operator to fly out the inspector, we handle the transportation ourselves.  If your sanitary inspection is due, contact us to schedule your survey.

Note:  The operator of the water system must be present during the sanitary survey.  In most cases, the field portion of the survey can be accomplished in 2 to 3 hours.
